Who this policy applies to.
This Privacy Policy explains how AmezPrice ("AmezPrice", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you visit amezprice.com, use an official AmezPrice mobile application or browser extension, create an account, use an API-enabled feature, contact support, subscribe to alerts or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").
AmezPrice is the operator responsible for the processing described here unless a notice identifies a different controller. Third-party websites and services—including Amazon, Google, Apple, Telegram, Discord, payment providers and app stores—process information under their own privacy policies.
This policy describes current integrations and capabilities that may be activated by configuration. A feature being described does not mean it is available in every country, account, build or subscription plan.
The essentials in plain language.
We collect what runs the service
Account details, product and tracking choices, device/technical data, support messages, notification tokens and usage events where applicable.
We measure and improve
Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics may process interaction, device and performance information to understand reliability and feature use.
Ads are disclosed before use
AdSense and AdMob support is prepared. If ads operate, Google and partners may use device, cookie or advertising identifiers subject to consent and platform settings.
You have controls
Manage tracking and notifications, disconnect the extension, change permissions, request access/correction/deletion, or withdraw consent where applicable.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use passwords, health information, payment-card details, personal messages or precise location to provide price tracking.
Information we may collect.
| Category | Examples | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|
| Account and profile | Name, email, profile image, country, authentication provider identifier, account status and preferences. | Create and secure your account, personalize country/currency, communicate with you and provide controls. |
| Authentication | Hashed credentials, login/session tokens, OAuth results, OTP and verification status. We do not store your Google password. | Authenticate sessions, connect supported sign-in providers and prevent unauthorized access. |
| Product activity | Amazon URL, ASIN, marketplace, products viewed/searched/favorited/tracked, alert thresholds and tracking status. | Show the correct record, provide history, synchronize favorites/tracking and deliver requested alerts. |
| Product-page observations | Visible title, price, original/reference price, image URL, availability, brand and category. | Add or refresh product information and investigate incorrect/stale data. |
| Subscription and transaction | Plan, purchase identifier, store/payment status, amount, currency, invoice and refund metadata. Card details are handled by payment providers. | Activate entitlements, verify purchases, maintain financial records and prevent fraud. |
| Notifications | FCM/device tokens, Telegram or Discord connection identifiers, channel preferences, delivery/open/dismiss status. | Deliver price, stock, deal, account and service notifications you enable. |
| Technical and usage | IP address, browser/app/OS version, device type, language, approximate country, pages/screens, feature events, timestamps, crash/error and performance data. | Operate, secure, debug, measure and improve the Services. |
| Support and safety | Name, email, subject, message, attachments/screenshots you send, abuse/fraud indicators, logs and user agent. | Answer requests, resolve disputes, enforce terms and protect users and systems. |
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device or browser, from the Amazon page you choose to use with the extension, from connected platforms you authorize, and from service providers that support authentication, payments, analytics, notifications and product information.
Exactly what the browser extension can access.
The extension runs only on the Amazon marketplace patterns listed in its manifest and communicates with amezprice.com. Its purpose is to show AmezPrice price intelligence on supported Amazon product pages and let you use tracking-related features.
| Permission / access | How AmezPrice uses it |
|---|---|
| activeTab | Identifies the active Amazon product page when you interact with the extension so the popup can obtain the current URL/product context. |
| storage | Stores limited local settings such as widget collapsed state and, if you connect your account, an AmezPrice extension authorization token and connection time. |
| Amazon host access | Injects the in-page card and reads product information visible on supported Amazon pages, including ASIN, country, title, price, reference price, image, availability, brand and category. |
| amezprice.com host access | Checks product/account status, retrieves price history and deal information, tracks/untracks products, reports a current price and submits a scraped product fallback when the normal product API cannot add it. |
The extension does not need access to your Amazon password, orders, payment information, browsing history outside declared Amazon pages, keystrokes or personal communications. It does not use remotely hosted executable code; extension JavaScript is included in the installed package.
When connected, the extension token is used to associate actions with your AmezPrice account. You can disconnect by signing out/disconnecting where available, clearing extension storage or removing the extension. Removing the extension deletes its local data but does not automatically delete your AmezPrice account or server-side tracking records.
Use of information received from Google APIs and the Chrome extension follows applicable Chrome Web Store User Data and Limited Use requirements: data is used only to provide or improve the extension’s disclosed single purpose, secure the service and comply with law.
App permissions and SDKs.
Notifications
The app requests notification permission so Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and local notification tools can deliver enabled price, stock, deal and account messages. You can deny or revoke permission in device settings; core browsing remains available, but push alerts will not arrive.
Firebase Analytics
The app uses Firebase Analytics to measure screen views and events such as product views, searches, favorites, tracking/alert actions, notification interactions, sign-in method, tab use, shares and subscription events. Firebase may process app instance identifiers, device information, approximate location derived from IP and interaction data according to Google’s terms.
Secure and local storage
Authentication tokens and sensitive device credentials are stored using platform-provided secure storage where implemented. Preferences such as onboarding state, notification prompts and interface choices may be stored in ordinary local preferences.
Google sign-in, stores and purchases
If you choose Google Sign-In, Google supplies identity information you authorize. Google Play or Apple App Store may process purchase and device information and provide AmezPrice with transaction identifiers and status needed to verify entitlements. Razorpay may process supported web payments. AmezPrice does not receive full payment-card details from these providers.
Cookies, sessions and browser storage.
The website may use cookies or equivalent storage for essential sessions, CSRF/security protection, authentication, country and language context, theme preferences, consent choices, extension connection and service continuity. Blocking essential storage may prevent login or other features from working.
Where configured, Google Analytics 4 uses cookies or device/browser signals to measure pages, navigation, acquisition, engagement, country/device categories and technical performance. We may use aggregated reporting to understand how people use AmezPrice. Consent controls will be applied where legally required.
Web push uses Firebase and browser push technologies. A notification token is created only after the required browser permission and registration flow. You can revoke browser notification permission or remove the token through available controls.
How we use information.
- Provide search, product pages, price history, statistics, deal scores, favorites, tracking, alerts, categories, deals, Discover guides and subscriptions.
- Match Amazon marketplace products, add missing product records, update observations and identify data mismatches.
- Authenticate accounts, connect the extension, synchronize preferences and maintain sessions across supported products.
- Deliver and measure email, app/web push, Telegram and Discord notifications that you request or that are necessary for account security.
- Process purchases, verify store receipts, activate plans, support refunds and meet accounting obligations.
- Measure feature use, diagnose crashes/errors, improve performance, test designs and develop new features.
- Detect abuse, protect accounts and APIs, enforce rate limits, investigate fraud and comply with law.
- Answer support, privacy, deletion, partnership and legal requests.
- Show advertising or measure affiliate referrals where enabled and legally permitted.
We do not use extension product-page data to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, healthcare, lending or other high-impact eligibility.
Why processing is permitted.
Depending on your location and the activity, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract (providing requested Services); consent (optional notifications, analytics or personalized advertising where required); legitimate interests (security, basic measurement, support, fraud prevention and service improvement); and legal obligations (tax, accounting, valid legal requests and consumer protection).
Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and implementing rules apply, we process personal data for consented or otherwise permitted purposes and provide applicable rights. Where the GDPR/UK GDPR or similar laws apply, the relevant legal bases above govern processing. Rights and exemptions vary by jurisdiction.
Advertising, analytics and affiliate links.
Current implementation status
The codebase includes Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) support in the mobile app and Google AdSense configuration for the website. Advertising may not yet be shown in every public build or on the website. Because the SDK/configuration exists and may be activated, this policy explains the associated processing in advance.
If advertising is enabled
Google and its advertising partners may process IP address, device and advertising identifiers, cookies, app interactions, ad impressions/clicks, diagnostic data and approximate location. Depending on consent and settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Premium or eligible subscriptions may suppress some ads.
You can use device ad-personalization controls, cookie/consent choices where presented, and Google’s advertising settings. We will update notices and consent flows before or when additional advertising becomes active where required.
Amazon affiliate program
Some outbound Amazon links contain an affiliate tag. If you follow such a link, Amazon can recognize the referral and AmezPrice may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Amazon controls its checkout and related data processing.
Alerts, service messages and marketing.
Operational messages can include authentication codes, security notices, transaction records and important service changes. Product messages can include price changes, target alerts, stock updates, Deal Radar/AmezDeals and tracked-product information through enabled channels.
You can adjust available preferences, disable specific alert types, disconnect Telegram/Discord, revoke browser/app notification permission, unsubscribe from eligible email or stop tracking a product. Some security or transactional messages cannot be disabled while the related account or transaction remains active.
Security and international processing.
We use measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, authorization checks, secure token storage where supported, input validation, restricted API endpoints, rate limiting, logs and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Providers may process information in India, the United States or other countries where they operate. When required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and contractual or organizational safeguards. Local laws in a recipient country may differ from those in your country.
If you believe your account or data is at risk, contact support@amezprice.com promptly.
How long information is kept.
- Account/profile: while the account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion where needed for restoration, fraud, disputes or law.
- Product price history: may be retained as a platform dataset even after an individual stops tracking, because it describes public product prices rather than that person.
- Favorites, tracking and preferences: until removed, the account is deleted, or the record is no longer operationally needed.
- Extension local data: until cleared, disconnected or the extension is removed; server records follow the applicable category above.
- Notification tokens: until logout, revocation, invalidation, deletion or cleanup.
- Support, security and logs: for a reasonable troubleshooting/security period; longer where a dispute, abuse investigation or legal duty requires it.
- Transactions: for the period required by tax, accounting, payment and consumer laws.
- Analytics: according to configured provider retention settings, after which information is deleted or aggregated.
Deletion requests are applied to data tied to the requester, subject to verification, backups, technical feasibility and lawful exceptions. Backup copies may remain until rotated and are not restored for ordinary use.
Your privacy choices and rights.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, a copy, correction, completion, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, information about processing, consent withdrawal or grievance handling. You may also nominate another person where local law provides that right.
- Update available account and notification settings directly.
- Untrack/remove products and disconnect connected channels.
- Revoke browser extension permissions by disabling or uninstalling it.
- Revoke notification, advertising or app permissions in browser/device settings.
- Request account deletion in available account controls or by email.
- Use provider controls for Google ads/analytics and mobile advertising identifiers.
Send requests from the account email to support@amezprice.com and describe the request and country. We may verify identity, clarify scope and retain a minimal record of completion. You may complain to an applicable data-protection authority if you believe your rights were not respected.
Children’s privacy.
AmezPrice is a general shopping-information service and is not directed to children under the minimum digital-consent age in their location. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children for behavioral advertising or account services. If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted personal information without valid authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Policy changes and privacy questions.
We may update this policy when products, providers, laws or practices change. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and provide additional notice where a material change or renewed consent is required.
